Mental Health Resources

Suicide is among the leading causes of death in Oregon. Suicide is also a major public health issue nationally. Talking about suicide responsibly does not increase risk. Suicide is preventable and by working together, we can decrease the suicide rate in our schools and community.

  • Youth Line- A crisis helpline where teens can talk with their peers
  • National Suicide Prevention Lifeline- A free and confidential crisis helpline
  • Youth and Family Crisis Service- A number to call to speak with a mental health counselor for crisis support focused on stabilization and safety.

  • SAMHSA- Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration- A free and confidential referral service for individuals and families of individuals who are experiencing mental health and/or substance use disorders

  • Free Virtual Support Meetings - Individuals can join virtual 12-step meetings. These are hosted each week by a person in recovery

  • 7 Cups- An anonymous online resource with free active listeners and the option to pay to speak with a therapist.
