Statement on Former Coach

We have been informed by law enforcement that Glenn Norris, former girls basketball coach at Cascade High School, was indicted in Clackamas County Court on Thursday, June 4, 2026 for solicitation of a minor in a sting operation. While this is disturbing information, we have no information of any incidents related to Cascade students.

Mr. Norris was hired as coach for the 2025-2026 season, and his contract was not renewed at the end of the season. A replacement coach has already been hired. All hiring procedures, including conducting a criminal background check, were followed in all cases. 

Safety for our students is our highest goal, and we hold our coaches and staff to the highest standards of safety. While we have not received any reports of inappropriate sexual behavior about this coach, we wanted to inform our community of this development and encourage anyone to report any inappropriate actions to the Marion County Sheriff's Office.
