All of us at Cascade are SO thankful for the way this community supports kids!

High School FFA Hosts Elementary Field Trip

Cascade High School hosted a Salem elementary school's students for a field trip!

Not only that, but our FFA student Anneka (who is the Marion County Dairy Princess) and the Oregon Dairy Princess Ambassador Grace read a story and let students pet two of Anneka's cows in the new barn! We're grateful that this grant-funded barn can host amazing opportunities like this.

Students also participated in Mr. Iverson's manufacturing class and Ms. Roth's art class. You can see more pictures on our Facebook page.

Thursday in Leah Ross's Culinary class, representatives from the Oregon Restaurant and Lodging Association and McDonald Wholesale Foods presented a $500 check that will be used for a pizza making student run business to start next year.

The representatives talked with the students about careers in food management and the hospitality industry, giving practical advice for building a good career.

Top 30 Night at High School

On Thursday night, Cascade High School honored its academic all-star seniors!

The "Top 20" night has been a tradition for over 25 years, where the academic stars of the graduating class are recognized. This class is so strong, we had to make this year a "Top 30" night!

There are 17...SEVENTEEN valedictorians, students who have earned a 4.0 weighted GPA with an honors diploma. Congrats to these academic all stars! You can see more pictures on our Facebook page.

Students and families heard from Principal Rasmussen, Superintendent Drill, and alumni guest speaker J.D. Remy. It was a great night!

Help Us Get to the PNW Championships!

Because of their incredible success at State, the Cascade In Hand Obstacle Team and Lainey Sell in several individual events have qualified to compete at the Pacific Northwest Championships in Moses Lake, Washington this June!

This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, but the cost to get there is significant. Between vet certifications, hauling, and stall fees, it costs approximately $650 per athlete. However, we are looking to our amazing Cascade community to help these girls reach the finish line.

How to Donate:
  • In-Person/Mail: Send donations to the Cascade High School Main Office. Please indicate that the funds are for the "Cascade OHSET State Team."
  • Venmo: Donate directly to us at @Brittany- Gregson

No donation is too small, and every bit helps these athletes represent Cascade High School on a regional stage. Thank you for your continued support!
