Learning chainsaw maintenance!

The AG class at Cascade High School today learned how to disassemble a chainsaw and how to maintain and care for it. Mr. Brill showed the students, and then they had the chance to do it themselves, removing the bar and chain, air filter, and spark plug.

Culinary Arts Students Cater Event

Giving students real-life experiences is at the heart of Career Technical Education (CTE), and we excel at helping our students with that.

Today the Culinary Arts students at Cascade High School were hired to cater the breakfast for the Salem Chamber of Commerce Greeters meeting. They planned and cooked the menu, set everything up, and served over 100 people. The event was at the Willamette Career Academy. You can see more pictures on our Facebook page.

With opportunities like this, it's not hard to find things to celebrate for CTE month!

Grandparents Luncheon at the Jr. High

The Grandparents Luncheon at Cascade Junior High School has been one of our favorite things since it started in 1974!

More than 250 grandparents joined their students today. They heard the Jr. High choirs and high school Jazz Band perform, as well as heard some examples from the voice acting class.

Then they all made their way to the cafeteria for a great meal and a fun photo booth! You can see more pictures on our Facebook page.
