Today, the Oregon Department of Education released every school’s graduation rates for the class of 2022. Once again, Cascade High School proves to be a statewide leader, with 94.44% of our students earning their diploma in four years. Out of 130 high schools in the state of Oregon with more than 100 graduates, Cascade’s graduation rate is in the top 10%—an exceptional accomplishment that demonstrates the dedication of our staff and students to academic achievement.

For reference, the statewide average graduation rate is 81.34% this year, a number Cascade High School exceeded by more than 13%. Looking more closely at the data for various groups of students, whether underserved populations, students with disabilities, or English language learners (ELL), Cascade High School outperformed the statewide average in every one. Perhaps most impressively, 85.71% of students with disabilities at Cascade High School earned diplomas in four years. This is a huge improvement from just four years ago, when the graduation rate for students with disabilities at Cascade was 68.8%. How does this compare with the rest of the state for students with disabilities? This year’s graduation rate of 85.71% at Cascade High School is more than 18 percentage points higher than the Oregon state average of 67.50%.

“We’re proud of the work we do day in and day out,” said Superintendent Darin Drill. “Our schools and programs and special education staff are known for excellence. We’re glad to serve the families of Cascade and help so many students graduate on time.”
