Cascade High School

Congratulations to Lisa Iverson, who was recently awarded the Social Studies Educator of the Year for the State of Oregon.  Lisa was chosen for this honor because of her dedication to developing curriculum that engages and excites her students and the use of innovative and creative appoaches in her classroom.

 Over the years Mrs. Iverson has participated in programs that have broadened her perspectives in education, bringing those new ideas to the classroom and thus enriching her students.  As president elect for the Oregon Council for the Social Studies, Lisa developed an outstanding spring conference that significantly impacted teachers throughout the state.

This is the second year in a row that a Cascade High School staff member has received this honor. Brian Fenderson was presented with the award in 2008.

Cascade’s DECA chapter is holding their 8^th Annual Craft Sale on Saturday, November 7^th from 9 – 4 in the old HS Gym.  We are currently looking for CRAFTERS from the local area to register to sell their wares.  You can call/email Mr. Reinhardt at 503.749.8268 or breinhardt@cascade.k12.or.us for more information.  The registration form is also available to download, print and mail back.  See attached. There are currently spots available for selling.  Don’t hesitate in getting the registration form in.
